I was recently approached by a Canadian client to create a flogger in a red colour scheme which also shows the grain in the wood on the handle and also red leather falls.

Two prototype handles turned from Pine,painted with a red wash and finished with a polyurathane varnish.





A hardwood prototype turned from Ash, painted with a red wash and hand finished with a clear wax.



Barley twisted Oak handle, hand finished with a clear wax.



This one is Beech with a diamond pattern picked out in red and hand finished with a clear wax.
